HAPPY NEW YEAR!
There's nothing like the fresh hope that a brand new year brings to one's life!
What are you hoping to bring into your existence in 2011?
IF YOU'RE READING MY BLOG, I'll bet that your list of wants is filled with values, feelings and a state of well-being which will yield an overall better quality of life for you and your family...SUSTAINED OVER TIME.
As you know, money and material things are great; but they just don't carry the energy to manifest the true happiness that makes us whole.
Energetically, EMOTIONS SUCH AS LOVE, HAPPINESS, JOY AND GRATITUDE calibrate at very high, thus healing, frequencies. When we tap into our core feelings, our true essence, we create the juice to attract everything that we need and alot of what we want. Tuning-in clarifies what we want and makes daily life easier, while fortifying our spirit with peace and our bodies with good health.
I'd like to invite you to engage in an exercise with me:
- an index card and pencil (try using your favorite colored pencil!)
- your breath
ARE YOU READY? LET'S GO!
Sit in a quiet space....get comfortable. Make sure that if you're sitting in a chair that your spine is erect and that your soles are touching the floor, legs un-crossed.
Place your index card in front of you vertically, unlined side up.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath, filling your diaphram and allowing that breath to move up via your lungs into your throat, your nostrils and, finally, EXHALE SLOWLY through your mouth.
REPEAT THIS CYCLE OF BREATH 3 TMES.
With each exhalation, allow yourself to:
- forget about the past,
- stop worrying about the future
- embrace the splendor of the present
Now that you're present with yourself, engage in this cycle of breath a few more times, eyes still closed.
Think of something that makes you smile, Anything!
(try not to think of people)
-a scent, a taste, a color, a feeling, an activity, an object, a place, something from nature, a weather condition....got it?
WRITE THIS DOWN (one word)
TAKE 2 OR 3 DEEP BREATHS, EMBRACING THE FEELING BROUGHT TO YOU BY THIS WORD. ON THE 3RD BREATH, WRITE DOWN ANOTHER WORD, DERIVED FROM THE FEELING YOU RECEIVED FROM THE PRIOR WORD.
Using your breathwork, KEEP GOING UNTIL YOU HAVE A LIST OF 9 - 12 WORDS.
EXAMINE YOUR LIST. RELATE THE 1ST AND LAST WORDS.
MAKE YOUR OWN CONNECTIONS.
DOES YOUR FINAL WORD GIVE YOU ANY CLUES REGARDING HOW YOU'LL MANIFEST YOUR JOY, YOUR HAPPINESS IN 2011?
REPEAT THIS EXERCISE ONCE/WEEK FOR A MONTH AND DISCOVER YOUR PATTERNS OF FEELING. IT'S AMAZING, I DO THIS PERIODICALLY, IN PREPARATION FOR MY WORKSHOPS (WHERE WE DO THIS), AND THE WORD PEACEFUL POPS UP EVERY TIME IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT ON MY LIST!
